Most generators output results and you really hope it was copied or it's gone. Tools and Taverns remembers! Pin anything to your Campaign Notebook, then pull it back up at the table. Everything stays in your browser, and you can export all of it to various formats.
- Generate
Roll an NPC, a shop, a settlement, a hoard. Every result comes from a seed, so the same link always gives the same result.
- Keep
Pin anything worth reusing to a campaign notebook. It stays in your browser, survives the tab closing, and exports whenever you want it.
- Run
At the table, pull it back up: quick recall, an initiative tracker, and player-facing handouts you can share by link.
Latest Updates
v1.58.3
- Rules Quick-Reference, Session Dashboard, all fourteen guides, and shared player views now use the same compact introductions, clear panels, and responsive layouts as the rest of the site.
- Player handouts label their fields and omit empty sections. Shared initiative snapshots identify the current turn in text.
- The dashboard tool picker keeps keyboard focus inside the dialog and returns it to the opener when closed.
v1.58.2
- The two example buildings on the building generator page again match what their seed links produce; the owners and occupants had changed since the examples were written.

2024 Encounter Math Upgrade
The Encounter Generator now runs on the D&D 2024 rules: pick a Low, Moderate, High, or Deadly tier and it multiplies the per-character XP budget by your party size, then hands back an XP receipt alongside the encounter.
