Under the current 2024 rules a skilled hireling costs 2 GP per day, an untrained hireling costs 2 SP per day, and a messenger costs 2 CP per mile; hiring a spellcaster ranges from 30 GP for a cantrip to 100,000 GP for a 9th-level spell.
