About the In-World Calendar
This free in-world calendar tracks the current date in your D&D campaign on a fantasy calendar of your own making. Start from a template, then set your own months and their lengths, name the weekdays, add moons that cycle through their phases, and mark the holidays your world celebrates. Step the date forward a day, a week, or a month as the party travels, or jump straight to any date, and the tool shows the weekday, every moon phase, and any holiday that lands on it.
Everything you build is saved locally in your browser, with no account and no signup, so your calendar is waiting the next time you open the page. When a date matters, add it straight to your Campaign Timeline, and export the whole calendar to Markdown or JSON to fold into your notes.
Tips for Tracking In-World Time
- Advance the date every session as travel and downtime happen, so the party always knows what day it is and how long a journey really took.
- Give each moon a different cycle length. When two moons align on a full phase, that is a rare night worth building an encounter or a ritual around.
- Use holidays as ready-made hooks: a harvest festival, a day of mourning, or a night the dead are said to walk gives any settlement instant texture.
- When something important happens on a given date, add it to the Campaign Timeline right away so your session history and your calendar stay in step.

- How do moon phases work?
- Each moon has its own cycle length, and the tool calculates its phase for whatever date you are on. Set several moons with different cycles and each will wax and wane on its own schedule as you move through the year.
- Where is my calendar saved?
- It is saved locally in your browser, not on a server or in an account. Your calendar stays on the device you built it on, so clearing your browser data or switching devices will not carry it over. Export to JSON if you want a backup.
- How do I connect a date to the rest of my campaign?
